In 1985 it became apparent to the founder, Lynn Dupuy, that smaller businesses needed the same level of expertise and experience as larger firms in the area of change management but that need was not being effectively addressed by most consulting firms at the time. Having a history with large companies such as GE, GM, Ford, (then)US Steel and others, he began working with smaller firms to bring the broad experience he attained to bear on the smaller company issues. Today that focus continues and incorporates many methodologies and techniques that have been modified to fit the needs of the smaller company,

To make matters even more challenging, these circumstances may be occurring in markets that are declining in size. With a Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering, Lynn E. Dupuy began his professional career with General Electric as a Quality and Process engineer over 45 years ago. Over a seventeen-year period with G.E., he rose through a variety of positions ranging from Manufacturing Engineer and Foreman to Supervisor of Industrial Engineering. Recruited by A.T. Kearney, Inc. in 1977, he led a variety of assignments covering strategic planning, facility design and quality system assessments and development both nationally and internationally. In 1983 he received an MBA focused on organizational behavior.
