SITUATION:
Company had just survived a near death experience and had realized that consistency and improvement management are key to that success being continued.
OBJECTIVE:
One of the lessons learned in that experience was that chasing sales is not always the best strategy. Control of cost and process variation are crucial to the long term survival of a company. One problem encountered was that while improvements were discovered and implemented, there was no mechanism to maintain the implementation. Owner requested that L E Dupuy & Associates design and implement a methodology that will insure both.
OUTCOME:
We began a new approach that defined the desired impact of a change in practice and followed that change closely until it accomplished the desired result and became a habit rather than a “new way”. The cultural change has been effective as measured by the improvement in cost and customer satisfaction.
